Swansea City manager Russell Martin is rumoured to be Steven Gerrad's replacement if he decides to leave for Aston Villa. Martin played at Rangers on loan for a very short amount of time, making 15 appearances and scoring 1 goal.

Martin did not enjoy his time at the Gers by the sounds of it according to a video clip of him saying "I enjoyed the first couple of months there, after that i couldn't wait to get home."

Rusell Martin for Scotland

With Martin being Scottish and having for 29 caps for national team this could contribute to him being convinced to joing Rangers although, it is 'unlikely' due to him joining the Swans just 4 months ago and it's rumoured that Rangers may have to pay £4m + if they want Russell Martin.
